Hi Gary. I have spent a lifetime searching also. I have spent a lot of time considering religion and my end understanding is quite different than what is commonly proposed. Have you ever read Joseph Campbell? I love his work though people tell me he is not an easy read. What he says is that in regard to Christian thought, that people had been evolving a new mythology (King Arthur, the knights of the round table etc) and it was crushed. What we have today is a mythology (the current Christian belief) that is outdated. He says that people need a mythology to make sense of the world around us. Christianity doesn’t work for a lot of people. I dislike the idea that you have to die to get to heaven for instance. It is unobtainable, where as in Avalon mythology you can achieve it here and now. That is in keeping with a lot of eastern traditions. So basically I think that a lot of current ideas around enlightenment refer to a kind of obedience and blind faith. A mythology that is reasoned, makes sense. Your words are very profound. I guess most of the arriving is more realizing we already have it!

But your heart, that gives me your story. I hear your story when you speak, how you move, your choices. But you also listen this way. That is our humanity.
